Senior Producer

London

Hearst Magazines UK, is looking for a Senior Producer to sit within the commercial Ops team. Senior Producer is at the core of our custom branded content executions for our top tier clients and advertisers.

The Role
Hearst's Project Management team is looking for a Senior Producer to support and develop our department. This role will oversee all video and stills shoots coming across the team, either working directly or coordinating with out of house production companies, the Senior Producer will be the point of contact for our visual creative output. You will have a knowledge and interest in Hearst's brands, and a flexibility for the editorial voice of all the brands in our roster. Our customers often choose Hearst due to our best-in-class creative and custom shoot expertise; the Senior Producer will always ensure customers are at the heart of any custom shoot we execute, aiming to delight our advertisers and further build on our reputation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Shoot Production

Working with our project managers and in-house creatives, you will build the framework for all shoots (print and digital), outlining kit, crew, schedule and costings
Coordinate storyboards and mood boards, hiring specialised freelancers where necessary
Able to execute shoot within budget, always with a view to maximising profit
Ensures all types of format are considered in shoot planning (digital, print, video)
Delights the customer with fantastic shoot experience
Sourcing on-screen talent, contacting agencies and coordinating castings
Contacting and co-ordinating appropriate kit, crew and locations, and getting ahead of logistical issues
Coordinating and attending recces for locations
Keeping an eye on needs for small/large crews, logistics and sound recording needs
Understanding crew roles, and valid/valuable experience
Developing long term client relationships with freelancers, and negotiating rates for block bookings and specialised skill sets
Liaising with clients and keeping shoots running smoothly
Troubleshooting on-set, and facilitating solutions
Sorting out contracts for freelancers and talent, making sure all clearances and usage is covered

Post Production

Preparing post-production schedules and setting client expectations
Booking freelancers in advance for workload overflow
Booking editors/graphics and re-touchers where needed

Learning and understanding the individual editorial needs of each brand
Streamlining production workflows, finding solutions for long term budgets

Stay ahead of industry developments and creative solutions to drive the sale of new, innovative products for our clients
Keeping track of video and stills trends in the luxury, lifestyle, home and fitness markets
Help expand our team strategically for efficiency and flexibility
It is important that you have a project manager background as you will be asked from time to time to support the project management team.

Measures of Success

Reduction in hard costs spent on producing campaign content and creative
· Long-term agreements set up with top 20 suppliers with a view to negotiating favourable rates
· Execution of shoots planned in relation to customer and campaign requirements
· Smooth production workflow with internal teams, with all formats accounted for during the shoot production process
· Strong relationships with suppliers including talent agencies, location agencies, videographers, photographers
· Shoot feedback from all custom shoots to be positive with the Senior Producer adapting shoot execution to incorporate what clients tell us
