Senior Producer

London

The Senior Producer, Entertainment, will work across both production and development in the shortform, digital and television entertainment space. You will manage the day-to-day production of entertainment news and topical content for a number of clients. This includes overseeing three major broadcast series for UK and International networks. You will work with a small team of presenter/producers, producer/editors and a researcher, overseeing scripts and story selection on a daily basis and signing off edits for broadcast. Working closely with a production coordinator, you will also manage the rota and develop new talent. As an entertainment news specialist, you will be fully across the celebrity and pop culture agenda, have a great contacts book, and when required you will be able to roll up your sleeves up and help with edits. A key part of the role will also be development: working with ITNP's TV Development Team to create new formats, series and singles in the shortform, digital and television entertainment space. While the balance will vary, the role is approximately a 75%/25% split between managing ongoing productions/developing new projects.

Responsibilities
Manage the Entertainment Production Team of presenter/producers, producer/editors and researcher.
Engage fully in the entertainment news agenda for the two series in this area.
Oversee those products and a weekly tech and trending news show.
Sign off scripts for editorial/legal accuracy and tone of voice.
With excellent attention to detail, you'll sign off completed Avid edits, suggesting and completing tweaks to audio and picture if required.
Manage the rota for the team.
Oversee the entertainment planning diary, helping to organise shoots.
Identify and develop new talent.
Generate creative ideas for new short and long form programming.
Work up proposals as part of the development team.

Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of media law/compliance.
Great attention to detail.
A keen interest in entertainment news and topical content.
A flair for engaging, snappy copy and a great eye for visually entertaining video.
Experience of video editing, preferably with Avid.
Development experience and a passion for coming up with - and securing commissions for - new ideas.
Ability to work to tight deadlines under high pressure at times.
Experience managing a production team.
Experience in building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Ability to demonstrate the ITN Productions values - Trust, Innovation and Collaboration.
