Senior Post Producer (Episodic)

London

BACKGROUND
The UK Post Business offers a range of services through two specialist teams focused on the differing needs of the Feature and Episodic markets. This role is currently focused on the Episodic market

EXPERIENCE
* Substantial experience working in a Post Production environment, detailed knowledge of Episodic Post (picture & sound), Mastering and Deliveries. Ideally a working knowledge of Dailies processes.
* A track record as a Senior Post Producer preferable with experience of working on high end television shows.
* Experience of episodic post production processes and workflows including 4K/UHD HDR.
* Proven ability to build and maintain sustaining relationships with clients at all levels. This includes excellent client handling skills, established relationships along with experience in generating new business from existing and new clients.
* In general, strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to work on own initiative and proactively handle day-to-day Client Services issues, escalating and resolving these where appropriate

EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Team Play: Contribute to an effective Project Management Team that is fully integrated and highly collaborative with Artists, Operations and Technology Services
* Team Management: Whilst currently not a formal line management responsibility, proactively driving and motivating a team of artists in day to day operations is a significant element to the role.
* Business Systems (Pulse): Work with the technical workflow leads to develop a working knowledge of the VFX Pulls system (Pulse) and help feed into the build and design of the automated episodic pipeline
* Project Management: Developing a full overview of the full episodic sound & picture pipeline - Dailies, VFX Pulls (Pulse), Deliverables. Understanding these areas and utilising specialist team members to execute the work required.
* Relationship Selling: Able to build and maintain sustaining relationships with clients at all levels and actively assist in the sales process, winning repeat business and taking part in dispute resolution.
* Quoting and Workflow: Contribute to the Quoting process, co-ordinate workflow solutions and generate effective but flexible schedules
* Deliveries: The Deliveries on episodic series' continue to grow in complexity. Understanding and managing these requirements is a significant part of the role. Contributing to the development of systems to effectively manage Deliveries is an expectation of the role.
* Project Profitability: Accountability for Project Profitability and the systems that enable measurement including timely billing activities and resource utilisation
* Client Experience: Set expectations for and actively drive exemplary Client Experience throughout the building and the business.
* Group Collaboration: To use knowledge, systems and resources from the Technicolor Group to provide solutions to clients of both Technicolor Global Post and Technicolor UK
* Business and Knowledge Management: Articulate, document and maintain processes and procedures aligned to workflow and business process along with the occasional business / project plans aligned to Business strategies. As required share with the UK team and the Technicolor Group.
* Hours of Work: Given involvement with US broadcasters, flexibility in work across the evening is considered important, especially as projects are being delivered. Acceptance of the often-unpredictable nature of projects and spikes in overall workload is critical to the role.
