Senior Motion Graphics & VFX Designer

London

To support our growing Digital Cinema team, the Senior Motion Graphics & VFX Designer will be required to lead graphics projects for localisation of major feature film and trailer productions for Hollywood studios, independents and global content providers.

Other responsibilities will include defining, maintaining and developing end-to-end graphics processes, best practice and creative developments and working closely with other departments including Subtitling, Mastering, Content Services and QC to ensure all graphical outputs meet the highest standards of creativity, quality and technical precision.

The role will also encompass workflow and process development, technology roadmaps, opportunitiesfor automation and client interfacing including promotional activity and client-based operational support. The ideal candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding and skillset in both 2D and 3D motion graphics and VFX work, a solid understanding of technical aspects of creative graphics processes at the highest quality standards, ideally coupled with some localisation experience in graphics for theatrical and home entertainment content. They will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude and must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.

Responsibilities:
Lead theatrical graphical localisation for major feature film and trailer projects as part of the global
Digital Cinema team
Contribute to design and continuous evolution of graphics processes, best practice, procedures and
technology developments across theatrical localisation as part of global team
Ongoing research and evaluation of 3rd party and proprietary graphics systems and toolsets
Collaborate regularly with internal groups and departments including Localisation, Mastering,
Administration, Sales and Technology teams
Ensure information security objectives are translated into tactical goals that guarantee information
security objectives are met and exceeded
Abide by company security policies and protect information assets entrusted to you
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
3D modelling, 2D and 3D tracking, match moving, compositing and VFX skills
Deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and associated technologies
Strong typographic skills essential
Solid understanding of industry standard post production image formats
Good understanding of principles of colour science
Ability to prioritise, manage work orders and work well under pressure to achieve deadlines
whilst producing high quality work
Detail focused with strong organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under own initiative and be a good team player
Problem solver with creative and innovative approach with ability to think out of the box
Ability and willingness to learn new methods, procedures, or techniques and take on new tasks

Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in motion graphics and post-production workflows
Experience working with theatrical post production, localisation workflows and digital cinema
formats and standards of benefit
Experience working with stereoscopic 3D, 4K, UHD and HDR content of benefit

Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience.
