Senior Graphics Developer

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Graphics Developer with 3D animation, motion design and broadcast graphics experience to join Formula 1 who can hit the ground running and help take our production to the next level. As part of our graphics team, you will face exciting challenges, develop your skills and help define the next era of Formula 1 broadcasting.
You will be joining a small dynamic team within the Television Production department, where you'll be designing graphics for one of the world's premium sporting brands and helping to deliver a world class production. You will get to work in a friendly, rewarding and challenging environment at our Media and Technology Centre and there may some opportunities to travel.
You'll be:
* Designing broadcast content from concept to delivery which will feature within the Formula 1 World Feed
* Supporting design projects within the department, which can range from providing assets for live broadcast, to building fully 3D rendered features
* Designing and animating on-screen graphics for both real-time and post-production
* Supporting the operation of virtual track signage, live on-screen graphics, and post-produced / augmented graphics for use in the live show
* Using industry leading broadcast graphics software and hardware systems to help us enhance Formula 1's viewing experience
About You
The ideal candidate will have following:
* A degree in a design, 3D design, motion graphics or related field
* Experience designing broadcast content and live on-screen graphics
* A keen understanding of visual design and an interest in researching new ideas and concepts
* A realistic approach to design ideas, particularly under tight deadlines
* A clear understanding of the 3D animation pipeline including modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation & rendering.
* A thorough understanding of Autodesk Maya and 3 other modelling platforms.
* Experience designing and animating 2D on-screen graphics for both real-time and post-production purposes
* Extensive knowledge of the Adobe suite with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
* Experience using Viz Artist and any of VizRT's real-time broadcast products or other industry standard broadcast software packages
* Live broadcast experience in a sports environment
* Prior experience working in a VR/Virtual Studio pipeline using VizRT or similar
* Understand the testing and troubleshooting process
* Great understanding of the project process and workflow optimisation, team organisation and communication
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own time and workloads across multiple project
