As Senior Editor you will oversee all aspects of post-production produced here at P7.



Our clients vary from large international blue chips to small start-ups, making everything from TV Ads to product films. So we're looking for a great all-rounder who can get involved at all levels. The role will offer daily technical, creative, client, and organizational challenges.



Our projects are turned around quickly and efficiently so a keen eye for detail and problem solving is essential. Not to mention a conscientious work ethic.



Main responsibilities



Reporting to the Managing Director the main responsibilities of this role will be:

Work collaboratively with producers and directors on a variety of different jobs.
Editing short form video content from internal case studies to online and TV ads.
Animating short form video content from a script or storyboard.
Coordinating long form internal communications pieces with multiple producers and editors.
Understanding briefs and finding creative solutions. You may need to take a direct brief for a project and run with it, adding value and quality.
Overseeing and collaborating on films and animations made by freelances or junior-level editors ensuring high quality control.
Keeping all edit suites up to date with the latest available software.
Keeping the P7 shared storage drives up to date, ensuring smooth access for all our edit suites at all times.


About You

The successful candidate will have:



Key Experience:

A history of working in video production, with a strong portfolio of work that you are proud of and that will make us sit up and take notice.
References essential.
You will also have experience of creating compelling short-form content, working across a broad range of different audiences, formats and channels.
The ability to understand how to convey brand identities clearly and effectively through your work. You'll be working across a variety of different brands operating on a global scale.

Key Skills:

Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with latest video editing software (namely Adobe Pr) and good knowledge of motion graphics programmes (AE).
3D Animation (C4D eg) desirable but not required.
Technically minded with good knowledge of Mac OS.
Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate complex technical ideas and questions clearly and politely to freelancers and clients alike.
Very good organisational skills.
An unrivalled attention to detail. You may be the last person to see the work before it gets sent to a client.

A love for film.
A good sense of humour, there may be times when you need it!
The ability to take the initiative. If you think we can do something better let's hear it.
Good client facing skills and the ability to be well presented and smart when needed.
The ability to be a team player, do you like working in a tight knit team and pulling your weight wherever the opportunity presents itself?
Be a very good problem solver, using your experience and intellect to find ways around possible technical and logistical problems.
Must live within a reasonable commute to Clapham. Clapham Common tube station is a 2 minute walk.
