The post holder will report directly to the Media Centre Studio and Production Manager. The post holder is required to operate at a highly creative, technical, project and line management level. The post holder will have a significant and strategic role in developing and delivering the University's brand image via its creative content output and its front of house customer interface. The post holder will work within a Media Centre and Creative Media team with a strong creative, service and delivery ethic.The Creative Media team consists of Design and Publications, Distribution Centre, Media Centre and Printing Services teams. Media Centre activities cover a wide range of functions relating to the production of internal and external digital media content, media training, studio recordings, Degree Congregation recording and streaming and the utilisation of new digital technology. The Media Centre is responsible for internal University and external client audio-visual media productions, from the initial brief to delivery of creative content within schedule and to budget. The Media Centre works closely with Design, Print and Distribution as part of Creative Media to deliver a 'one-stop shop' service, offering the full scope of AV content delivery to clients both across the University and in the commercial sector.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience Required:• Qualified to degree level and/or with equivalent experience in the Media/Broadcast post production industry. • The post holder will have a proven and high level of creativity. • The post holder will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and client facing experience in a professional broadcast environment. • Capable of devising and implementing their own workflow from initial brief through to script and screen. The post holder will be able to problem solve and troubleshoot and will have proven post-production knowledge gained in a professional film and television environment. • Excellent IT and communication skills. • Experience of working in a busy and creative post production team and on own initiative. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Good interpersonal skills, whether dealing with Media Centre colleagues, academic staff, external clients, or other members of the Creative Media Department. • Well-developed organisational abilities, for example an ability to implement, maintain and initiate changes to procedures, schedule work. • Ability to work on own initiative, manage time effectively, progress tasks concurrently and work to deadlines • Articulate, confident and competent in the use of electronic and digital communications. • Strong administrative and organisation skills - the ability to prioritise, exercise good time management and meet deadlines. Full time starting salary is normally in the range £26,495 to £28,936. With potential progression once in post to £32,548 a year.Closing date: 25th April 2018Reference: 59115
