Senior Edit Assistant

Reporting to the Head of Post Production, you will assist our busy Post Production department working across multiple projects for a range of brands and broadcasters.
You will be required to support and at times lead the Edit Assistant team, ingest media, create play-outs and managing client deliveries.
Experience of responding to changing priorities and strong communication skills are a must. Knowledge of Avid Media Composer within a shared storage environment is essential. Workflow design, QC for broadcast, DDP Shared Storage experience, DPP Delivery, Content Agent, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools and Premiere experience would be an advantage.
This role would suit an experienced edit assistant with a keen interest in the technical side of content creation. When schedules allow the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to work as an editor (offline, online or for online video).
Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring projects are sufficiently resourced and completed to schedule from ingest through to final delivery
• Workflow design
• Ingest, transcode, formats conversions
• Back up and archive if audio & video
• QC
• Exports and uploads for client review
• Creating final deliverables
Skills & Experience:
• Excellent broadcast technical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing workloads
• Should have a passion for TV & Video Production and the energy and drive to see projects through to delivery
• Must have a demonstrable knowledge of the work that Somethin' Else do.
