THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include:

Provide operational and technical fault-finding and front-line maintenance and support to our offline clients and suites.

Undertake digitising and prep work for our offline suites. Up to date knowledge of the most common tapeless formats for broadcast essential.

Avid AMA conform experience essential and experience of AAF workflows to baselight preferable.

To have the ability to spot, identify and address issues with equipment and materials. To be able to flag these issues in an understandable manner to the relevant people. To be able to suggest and undertake corrective action where possible.

Experience in AS-11 creation essential as well as strong knowledge of all various file creation for broadcast.

To be able to read and operate all standard video and audio measurement equipment and understand when materials are out of spec.

Support the Technical Operations Coordinator with ongoing training and monitoring of MCR team.


ABOUT YOU
Key skills and experience:

Have at least 2 years' experience of edit support in a post-production environment

Experience of edit support in a post-production environment

Avid experience is essential

Sound understanding of the principles of TV and film post-production technology

Sound understanding operational broadcast theory

Understand the theory and practice of file conversion and management. Utilise software and hardware to undertake these tasks

Knowledge of modern post-production workflows, equipment and infrastructure

Understand the implications of decisions and actions on the workflow

Strong Troubleshooting skills and a calm temperament essential
