We have a reputation for creative and experimental feature documentaries and eye-opening network TV documentaries. Our first BBC doc Richard and Jaco: Life with Autism won two BAFTA Cymru awards (Best Documentary and Best Director) and our latest feature Queerama opened Sheffield Doc Fest. We also make groundbreaking drama that breaks the Welsh-language mold.We're looking for a highly-qualified, experienced individual to join us as a senior development producer. If you want to make unique and distinctive factual programmes with a creative edge, working alongside a supportive and passionate production team - get in touch!What will I be doing?You'll collaborate with the team of producers and directors building on and expanding our slate. Lead development strategy, bringing a high standard of research, storytelling and format creation, to drive the production of original and distinctive documentaries that reach and engage broad audiences.We'd like the role to be 2-3 days a week (and are open to flexible and remote working) but could also commit to a full time contract for the right person.What skills do I need?You are imaginative and bold, with masses of experience writing and pitching innovative and thought-provoking documentaries.You have great contacts with the major broadcasters.You want to take on development strategy.You are passionate about untold stories, diverse voices and unconventional storytelling.The ideal candidate will have a track record in developing and securing network commissions of observational and high quality presenter-led documentaries.Equality and Diversityie ie Productions are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore strongly encourages applications from underrepresented groups.
