Senior Broadcast Engineer

London

Building on our existing success in 2017 and 2018 Flux Broadcast are now looking to grow and expand our team. Focusing on the engineering and sales side of the business.

Alongside regular work with brands such as Topshop, Xbox, The BBC, Universal Music and Warner, we've also won awards for our work such as the 'Shorty Awards for Social Good' and Cannes Lions with McCann. We are looking to take 2018 and 2019 to a new level.

As a small but hard-working group, we are looking for confident, aspirational and dedicated people who are looking to learn and make their mark on the broadcast industry. We will give you all of the support and tools to take your career to the next level.
Our Vision and our Values
Flux Broadcast are a live streaming and video production company based in London built around bringing TV broadcast quality, online.

We want to deliver the same quality, stability and approach that is applied in the TV broadcast industry to online video. Whether we're working with live, or on-demand video. We think that quality content, a flexible and honest approach to work and great client experiences should always be at the heart of what we do.

We are passionate about what we do and as such we are confident that we will always provide an excellent experience for our clients. Through a tailored approach to each project, we bring a fun, helpful and flexible attitude to work, whilst utilising the most up to date technology to deliver outstanding results.

The Role
The Role will require you to report directly to Senior Management, whilst overseeing and leading the Junior Engineers and technicians to ensure that all technical requirements are in hand for any allocated projects ahead. You will work alongside the Head of Engineering to keep abreast of the ever changing broadcast and streaming environment to ensure our solutions are always market leading. You will be responsible for rigging and on occasion, operating the equipment when required. You will also be responsible for suggesting the best technical workflows for the event and making sure that all in-house equipment is de-rigged, organised and kept in a good working order.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a positive, can do attitude. With ideally 1-2 years plus experience at another broadcast or streaming company. The candidate will be proactive and able to work well alone or within the wider team and will understand from a technical standpoint not only how, but why things are done. The candidate will be able to think on their feet and make evaluated decisions quickly based on the information in hand to effectively troubleshoot. The candidate will also have excellent organisation skills to ensure that issues and potential pitfalls are identified in the project planning stage.

The candidate will be an aspirational and hungry individual who is looking to take their career onto the next level and keen to put their mark on something. Working within a small team it is imperative that the candidate works well with others and can also work on their own.
