As part of an ever-changing marketplace, we are looking for a Senior Assistant Producer, who can bring their production ability to our team, whilst developing their management and organisation skills.
As well as producing content for digital, social and broadcast clients, you will also have opportunities to lead the production teams, planning and organising the daily output. You will also play a role in the administration of the team.
HERE'S A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT YOU'LL DO (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF
Content creation as part of a team that delivers broadcast-ready stories for digital clients
Content creation as part of a team that creates wire/raw footage for broadcast clients
Organisation of team administration, including rotas, holiday, KPIs and payroll
Content creation as part of a team that produces a daily sports news programme
Liaise with our international teams to ensure a smooth workflow of content
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?
First rate knowledge of and interest in a range of sports
Knowledge of key editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, AVID) to a broadcast standard
Ability to produce engaging content for digital and traditional consumers
Balanced and objective judgement of editorial decisions based on thorough understanding of guidelines
Willingness to work 'shift based' role, featuring weekend and night work
Ability to work well to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
Ability to offer creative and flexible solutions to help develop and shape products
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Broadcast journalism qualification or relevant experience
Ability to lead production team in absence of Producer
Ability to manage and organise team on a rota basis
Ability to control and report on KPIs and finances to team management.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLES TOO
Team player, but equally able to work independently
Ability to speak or translate multi-language
Excellent time-management skills
Experience of delivering voice reports a distinct advantage
Knowledge of channels, restrictions, branding and graphics
Understanding of new technologies used in delivery of multi-platform content
