Our new VR projects are a leap forward for the studio and we are looking for talented people to help turn them into a reality.We've recently announced our latest title, Phantom: Covert Ops, a stealth action game redefined for virtual reality and once you've seen what we're up to, we're convinced you'll want to be involved...We have amazing opportunity for an experienced Senior Animator to join us here at nDreams to help evolve the character animation pipeline and general motion within new VR projects we are working on. The role also involves assisting in building a dedicated team of animators to achieve those objectives.You will be required to work alongside the principal animator and Art Director to develop and demonstrate a wide range of styles, techniques and varied executions of animation for the current and next generation of VR headsets.You will actively self-initiate proposals and demonstrations of new and innovative animation styles and executions where appropriate. You'll take an active interest in the play-ability or responsiveness of both animation and their associated systems and help ensure the products are delivered on time.What Will You Be Doing?This opportunity requires a self-driven motivational quality, you'll need to work creatively and calmly whilst implementing requests from design, art and code to achieve the desired end vision.Creating and helping drive the quality of animation. Working with motion capture data from its conception to its game implementationAssisting the team of animators to deliver a cohesive and considered animation aestheticAssisting the Principal Animator in predicting and estimating animation schedulesEffectively communicating and illustrating animation intentions to the principal animatorPrioritising work, identifying and managing risk and managing workload of both yourself and of those in your project teams.Mentoring good animation practices with the animators and junior animatorsRequirementsExcellent working knowledge of working within a Motion Capture pipeline using Motionbuilder, Unreal and Maya.Real-time engine experience, ideally in Unreal, creating animation blueprints and setting up state machines.At least 3 years' experience in industry as possibly a Degree or equivalent qualification within a relevant discipline.Show a strong working knowledge of 3D animation with a fundamental understanding of timing, weight and spacing.Preferably several published products within the Console, PC, VR or Mobile spaceHave experience with motion planning and the creation of locomotion animation setsExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise their own work schedule.Able to articulate and receive constructive feedback on their own and peers work.BenefitsThe team at nDreams encourages an open, creative and diverse culture.
