Self Shooting PD

Plymouth, Devon

Twofour in Devon are looking for a self-shooting PD for the fifth series of Impossible Engineering which we produce for Discovery's Science Channel (US), Yesterday (UK) and a host of international broadcasters.
We are looking for somebody with a great factual background, preferably with strong experience in engineering or science programme-making. You'll have a knack for taking a complicated subject and putting it across in a simple, easy to understand way to make interesting and informative television. You'll have extensive experience of setting up filming around the world and you'll be a confident self-shooter, operating in a small two-person team. You'll have directed contributors who have no or limited TV experience and drawn out great performances. You'll also be confident as an edit producer because we want our PDs to fully own their shows from idea generation through pre-production, filming and into the offline edit. Experience making programmes for Discovery and UKTV would be a bonus.
The role is based in our Devon office on the outskirts of Plymouth with a fair amount of pre-production, extensive (often international) travel and then edit producing in our Devon post-production facility. Starts in early January for around nine months.
