Hollyoaks is an award-winning soap that entertains its audience with its mix of romance, thrilling plots and hard-hitting issues that get the viewers talking. As well as producing exciting stories, Hollyoaks prides itself on its flawless delivery, and our Script Supervisors are integral to that. It is the role of the Script Supervisors to ensure that each episode is delivered with the highest level of accuracy and integrity, by ensuring continuity and timing is maintained throughout.

As Script Supervisor, you will need to be a confident communicator, extremely well organised and have brilliant attention to detail. Each block you will be responsible for the journey of 5 episodes from script to shoot, starting by reading and timing the draft scripts and following each episode through to prep. During prep, the Script Supervisor will establish where music is needed and discuss requirements with our music team and sound mixers, you will also make note of any 'back of shots' that are required ready for filming. Ahead of shoot you will meet with the Producer to understand the desired look for the scenes in each episode and ensure that their vision is followed throughout the shooting process. When you get to shoot, the Script Supervisor needs to be meticulous with detail, taking accurate notes of each scene and watching for any subtle changes or actions that could affect continuity.
