Our content seeks to entertain, inform and empower children, adding real value to their lives.It's About Time is a 52 x 11 minute animated series about the relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter and the everyday time related concepts or problems they come across. For example, understanding what 'tomorrow' actually means, learning about the importance of patience and finding out why it takes a certain amount of time for the post to get from A to B. The series is predominantly animated however each episode features a 2 minute live action VT that explores the episode's specific problem or theme with real world examples. These VTs feature live action children and a mixture of archive, location and studio visuals. The team are looking for an experienced Script Editor to help with the creation and delivery of these 52 live action inserts.Role ResponsibilityAs the Script Editor, you will have a key role in shaping this new project. You will be based in the office in Media City and will be working in close collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure their creative vision is realised by collating notes and managing relationships with Writers. You will be working with the Series Producer to take the scripts from premise through to completion, managing and updating the script schedule and ensuring that scripts are delivered on time. Are you the right candidate?You will have a passion for animation, drama and the pre-school audience as well as an understanding of the ability to interpret editorial intentions, and to contribute to the generation of ideas and the resolution of script problems. You will be IT proficient and have experience of using a range of software packages such as Final Draft and you will have knowledge of script sources and the availability and potential of emerging writing talent.
