We are looking to bring on a young and enthusiastic office runner to assist wherever they are needed.

Your responsibilities may vary however your day to day duties typically include assisting with answering telephones/front door, collecting post/parcels, helping to keep the office clean (bin management, kitchen utensils, etc.) and general office administration. As a runner you must be flexible and well organised, and be able to think on your feet, you should be able to carry out tasks quickly and accurately. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential plus the ability to take orders and remember key information.

If you are interested in the video game industry then Fire Without Smoke is the place for you. Although a runner is an entry-level role, it can provide you with valuable contacts and experience for many other future roles, progression might be to a trainee position within one of our departments. Being punctual and enthusiastic are very important to this role as well as being level-headed and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Runners must be able to contribute to good working relationships and to creating a positive atmosphere.

Enthusiasm is considered more important than experience. While there are no specific educational requirements this is a very popular area of work and runner jobs can be very strongly contested despite the low pay. In these circumstances a good education is a definite advantage. Some experience in film, TV or other agencies is also an advantage.
