As a Runner on Bargain Hunt, you will support the programme team in the office, on location and in post production whilst undertaking general office duties including typing, taking messages, photocopying, responding to correspondence, answering telephones and filing. You will assist the team on location and ensure hospitality is provided for contestants / programme team (tea/coffee making) and act as a point of contact for a range of contributors ensuring that these are given a positive image of the BBC and the department. There will be a requirement to drive to and from outside broadcasts using BBC issued vehicles.

You will be able to demonstrate interest and experience in broadcasting or a related field, including any work experience placements. You'll have a real and informed interest in television and television production; a knowledge of BBC Daytime output and the wider television market with an interest in the technical and editorial sides of television. You will also have excellent communication skills including the ability to deal with colleagues, contributors and crew, and members of the public; a confident telephone manner with an ability to exercise tact and sensitivity. You must have a valid driving licence (and for insurance purposes be over the age of 23).
