Hours: Full Time

Salary: Depending on experience

Location: Remote working, but based at Aardman's studio in Bristol when required, abiding to current Covid protocols & procedures.

We are looking for x2 Rough Storyboard Artists to become part of Aardman's first fully in-house CG/mixed medium series. The series will be 52eps x 11mins.

The purpose of this role will be to provide narratively strong storyboards, with a clear understanding of staging, comedy and character, to the Head of Story's thumbnails.

Part of this role will be to create accomplished storyboards to the thumbnails (and notes at timed cut) under the guidance of the Head of Story, and to schedule.

The successful candidate will maintain a consistent level of drawing, in line with the project's design - staying on character. You will need to be able to apply comedy and humour to the storyboards, with appropriate comedic timing to create 'laugh out loud' moments.

You will be able to receive feedback from the Directors and Head of Story, and to create fixes to a high standard and in line with the scheduled time. Alongside this you will openly exchange ideas, technique and procedures to enhance the creative process.

You will need to have strong drawing abilities with a good understanding of story structure, staging and use of camera. We are looking for someone with experience using Clintiq and a strong understanding of posing and character, with ability to communicate character emotions through boards.

Closing date for all applications is 5pm Tuesday 26th January 2021. Please note we will review applications as they are submitted and may contact applicants that are of interest before the closing date.
