CBBC is looking for experienced Researchers with a passion for producing top class content for our audience to work on Series 7 of The Dog Ate My Homework from our offices in BBC Scotland.

The Dog Ate My Homework is a CBBC multi-award winning comedy panel show and is back for a brand new series. It's the school-based panel show where two teams face each other in a mischievous mix of tongue-in-cheek comedy, off-the-wall questions and slapstick challenges.

Please note that the studio records will involve working weekends throughout September.

Role Responsibility
Working with the Series Producer and Assistant Producers you will assist in all stages of the production process for The Dog Ate My Homework. Researchers will be expected to work as part of the wider production team to create, research, develop and pitch exciting and fun ideas which will entertain our young and diverse audience.

The researchers will work to find and brief diverse contributors for the show, ensuring the output reflects the diverse nature of our audiences. You will collate and share thorough research notes and accurately brief all relevant members of the production team. On Studio days you will work on the Studio floor briefing and encouraging contributors to get the best performances.

Are you the right candidate?
It is required that you are an experienced researcher with familiarity of working in studio and/or on location.

You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver to a deadline. You must be able to evaluate all information and material and present it to the Series Producer in an appropriate form. You should be able to contribute ideas for Children's content, helping to add to scripts and working with on screen talent.

It is essential you have the ability to cast young performers. It is important you have experience of working with young performers and an ability to communicate with them clearly.

You should be passionate about delivering for the CBBC audience and able to reflect their diversity. You'll have a comprehensive awareness of BBC Children's output and children's content from other broadcasters. You should also have a knowledge of and interest in contemporary culture and entertainment particularly affecting children.
