Twofour West, in Devon are looking for a Researcher for the latest series of Impossible Engineering which we produce for Discovery's Science Channel (US), Yesterday (UK) and a host of international broadcasters. Starts in mid-January for between four and five months, based in our Devon office on the outskirts of Plymouth. We are looking for a researcher with a great specialist factual background, preferably with strong experience in engineering or science programme-making. You'll be confident in your ability to understand often complicated engineering topics and put them across in a simple, easy to understand way to make interesting and informative television. You'll have experience setting up filming around the world, securing access to unusual places and at tracking down illusive archive, securing it inexpensively. Experience setting up science/engineering demonstrations and language skills would both be a bonus.
