The biggest and most action packed live show on BBC One daytime is back for its eleventh series. Crimewatch Roadshow Live appeals directly to the public for help with unsolved cases and features reconstructions and items following the work of the police. For three weeks in March the show comes live every morning from the Cardiff studio as well as from the OB, which travels across the country. This major BBC Studios network programme is looking for talented researchers to work as part of our 2019 team. Contract dates vary, starting in December/ January, finishing in March 2019.
We are looking to fill research roles on the filming teams, the studio production team and also a CCTV researcher who is responsible for collating and compiling the daily CCTV round-up.
Successful candidates will have a strong background in television production and/or a very strong journalistic background, a creative mindset, positive attitude and a keen eye for identifying potential stories. Knowledge of legal issues and BBC editorial policy guidelines, particularly with regards to crime output, is key. You will be required to assist during filming so some experience of working on location and an ability to self-shoot is also very desirable. You will have great people skills and the ability to work tactfully and diplomatically with the police and sensitive contributors. You will have excellent organisational skills and will need to keep detailed, accurate notes and briefing documents. You will be experienced in working under pressure and able to remain determined when tracking down hard to find information.
