Research Assistant

Are you a recent graduate who enjoys TV and has an analytical mind? We have an exciting opportunity within one of the world's leading production companies, analysing TV content trends and audiences.
This role would suit a recent graduate or someone with up to six months' experience within the media research sector.

Job overview:
This is a key role within the Global Research & Insight team allowing the successful candidate to gain experience and insight into international media research. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of the business, providing support including programme ratings and audience insights on high profile UK and international content. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Please note, this is not a production-based position.

Here you'll get to:
• Produce and distribute reports on international audience ratings and content trends which inform producers and teams about show performance and the wider industry
• Extract, analyse and distribute data on shows such as Celebrity Juice and Take Me Out
• Maintain and update internal databases, including competitor launches and Fremantle's global transmissions
• Create presentations to highlight the success of Fremantle formats such as The Farmer Wants A Wife, Got Talent and American Gods
• Use R code to manipulate data, and convert it into engaging data visualisations
• Take part in ad-hoc projects as required, such as detailed analysis of programme genres across entertainment, factual and drama
• Gain exposure to questionnaire design, scripting and reporting
• Work across all areas of the business, including global production and licensed programming

We're looking for:
• A keen interest in programmes and the broader media industry
• Comfort with numbers and ability to analyse and clearly interpret data
• A completed degree involving analysis and/or research elements
• An ability to produce very accurate work with a high attention to detail
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• An ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
• PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
• An individual who is highly organised and self-motivated
• An ability to work as part of a busy team
• A flexible approach to tasks and workload
• A positive and pro-active individual with a can-do attitude
• A passion for TV of all genres across a variety of platforms
