We're setting up a Realtime department!We are looking for a highly creative problem solver and technical individual to join our team in London, to help with research and development into real-time technologies.This is an exciting and broad ranging role which would suit someone with strong technical and problem solving skills. You will be working in software such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, Blender and motion capture hardware.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment, research & exploration of current and emerging technologies for real-time content production.Assist with building solid team-based workflows to integrate new software into an existing studio pipeline.Create Blueprints and develop new tools for rendering workflows in Unreal Engine.Implementing interactive functionality for existing assets via a range of inputsAdditional DutiesOccasionally contribute to productions in a creative role - ie. assist with scene setup in UE4Required SkillsStrong technical problem solving skillsStrong understanding of CGI productionAdvanced knowledge of general UE4 systems and blueprintingObsessively keen interest in real-time systems & VRCoding skills - Python or C++ would be beneficialKnowledge of Blender and similar software beneficialPersonal SkillsThorough attention to detailExcellent listening and communication skills, able to receive and act on feedback.Highly inquisitive & exceptionally motivated to learn and develop.Super pro-active & autonomous work ethicFull of ideas and ingenious approach to problem-solvingInterest in emerging technologiesRequired ExperienceRelated degree beneficial but not essentialDemonstratable production experience in an Unreal-based projectBenefits & perksWinner of Best places to work in TV 2019!Unlimited tea, coffee & breakfastMany staff social events throughout yearFree beer every Friday!Subsidised local gym membership (for contracts over 2 months)Profit participation (for staff who have been in our studio for 2+ years)LocationCentral London studio (Fitzrovia)Next to Regents Park (lovely for lunchtime in summer!)Next to 3 tube stations (Regent's Park, Great Portland St & Warren St)5 mins from Euston and Marylebone stations10 min walk from SohoStart date 7 Oct 2019Contract type: Fixed term contract - 12 monthsSalary: Competitive - depending on experience
