The Sky Product & Technology Delivery team (PTD) has a new opportunity for a Project Manager, who will provide project delivery to support some of Sky's most strategic and high profile delivery initiatives.
PTD provides the delivery management expertise that is instrumental to delivering Sky's most significant and high-profile delivery critical initiatives. PTD provides a cross enterprise technology delivery function, with focus on Sky's two key product domains - content-based products and services and communication-based products and services.
This project manager role has a specific responsibility to deliver technology and information processing projects to meet Sky's HM Government obligations. The work is 100% funded by HMG to see the delivery of information systems in Sky that can provide key information for criminal justice and terror investigations for a variety of law enforcement and secret security service requests.
As a Product & Technology Delivery team member, you will delivery management of key initiatives within the multifaceted portfolio of high-profile programmes both from a technology and overall end to end delivery perspective across the core key products such as broadband, mobile, TV/OTT.
Candidate must be fully flexible and willing to be based at and travel to sites throughout the UK and the EU.

This role also requires successful background security clearance as it is requires liaison and handling of critical information for HM government, the security service and law enforcement agencies of the United Kingdom.

What you'll do:

Facilitate and drive projects within the overall portfolio through from the early stage of initiation to the final implementation. This will either be in the context of a workstream within an overall programme or a standalone project in the wider portfolio
- You will delivery representative for HMG funded projects in Sky across a variety of customer systems and new product delivery areas.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships across the business and with, operational and delivery areas and to be a trusted advisor and delivery resource. This will include building cohesive and efficient matrix cross functional delivery teams.
- Plan creation, management and control including tracking actual progress, and reporting variances
- Working with delivery teams to understand status, issues, risks and putting in place mitigation plans as well as handling scope.
- Production of status reports for weekly management meetings and executive management meetings to facilitate fact-based decision making
What you'll bring:

- Experience working with HM Government would be an advantage
- Must hold or be capable of holding and maintaining UK HMG Government security vetting to a minimum of SC level
- A consistent track record of Project Management Delivery as well as a delivery-oriented approach
- Solid Partner leadership skills
- Strong communication skills - including verbal, written and speaking publicly to a group
- Ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple partners, being able to influence others without direct authority.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive/ can do style of work
- Track record of developing teams across several geographies
