Nickelodeon is a top performing commercial kids TV network in the UK. Launched in 1993, it comprises seven dedicated award-winning entertainment channels for kids aged 2-12: Nickelodeon, NickToons, NickToons Replay, Nick Jr, Nick Jr 2, Nick Replay and Nickelodeon HD, the first HD kids channel in the Sky Kids Pack.

The Nickelodeon network now reaches more than 10 million viewers a month and is available in 12.7 million cable and satellite homes.

The company has built a diverse multi-platform business by putting kids first in everything it does and includes critically acclaimed and hugely popular television programming and production in the United Kingdom and around the world, plus consumer products, online, events, recreation and feature films. Nickelodeon UK is a joint venture between MTV Networks and BSkyB.

Nickelodeon network shows include: SpongeBob SquarePants, Paw Patrol and live action hits Henry Danger, Game Shakers and School of Rock.

Job responsibilities

The job requires great attention to detail, a working knowledge of television ratings, the television market and an approach to scheduling that is both strategic and creative. Experience in children's TV is preferential but not a necessity.

Management of the schedules of two Nickelodeon channels from the 16 week sign off to release ensuring all schedule grids, premiere lists and necessary documentation is up to date and accurate liaising with the following departments, Editorial Operations, Channel Operations and Media Planning
To be responsible for entering and maintaining accurate program schedules in WON
To build strong relationships and handle day to day enquires, communicating initiatives or changes, as required or requested
Monitor channels' schedule performance and recommend short/long term initiatives for discussion with the Director of Programming to ensure channels maintain their competitive edge
Ensure all schedule amendments are processed accurately and communicated to relevant departments
Forward Planning alongside the Director of Programming to develop stunts and event strategies to achieve the most commercially attractive schedule
To communicate the schedule plans to other departments and ensure clear understanding of the priorities
To sit on ad hoc internal working parties as a representative of the channel (such as stunt taskforces)
Ensure the integration of non-linear scheduling VOD working closely with the multiplatform team

Skills

Excellent admin skills and attention to detail
Planning Experience
An analytical mind with creative flair to identify key facts, trends and issues.
Resilience to cope with the pressure of tight deadlines and a demanding workload with changing priorities
Understanding of audience research
Clear understanding of the Nickelodeon brands and a passion for television

IT competence

Experience with Excel is a must
Preferably experienced in WON and / or research systems such as Techedge
