We are recruiting an experienced Production Support Engineer to provide client focused technical support and operational advice to TLS Studios & Post Production.

To fulfill the role you will be required to minimise the impact on productions as a result of equipment failure by resolving technical problems or implementing workarounds. As part of a department of twelve shift based engineers you will be equally comfortable working as part of a team as well autonomously, using your own initiative. Being flexible and able to work well under pressure to tight deadlines is essential.

The successful person will have proven and demonstrable skills in fault finding and problem solving of complex technical systems. You will possess a comprehensive knowledge of broadcast television fundamentals and I.T systems, including servers, switches, NAS/SAN and associated monitoring tools. A working knowledge of file based production workflows incorporating ingest, media movement, storage and delivery is desirable, experience of EVS systems would be a distinct advantage.

You will be self motivated with a proven ability to work within a fast moving and creative environment with the flexibility and resilience to successfully adapt to changing situations. Excellent client facing and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

This role will include travel, long or unusual hours of work and cover for others at short notice. The role will have a variable shift pattern to provide Technical Support cover for all Production hours as required..
