We're hiring a Production Manager. You will be responsible for assessing projects, planning production schedules, supervising the work force and ensuring the best production.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for facilitating the ENG shoot requests including managing each steps with the Production Assistant, liaising closely with the Senior Director to utilize in-house equipment, and staffs where possible or work with external company Developing an in-depth knowledge of Alaraby's ENG equipment and inventory.To maintain liaise with the logistic department to create travel plans for relevant staffTo organize carnets where appropriateTo ensure ENG risk assessment and methods statements are completed prior to shoot and Health & safety policies and licensing requirements are adhered to at all timesAssisting Operation Manger to collate , review, sign off and distribute third party Risk AssessmentsResponsible to troubleshoot any issue the News/ Programs staff may have their non-studio programmingCreate daily studio and ENG call sheetsTo source contact third party suppliers as required, obtain quotations to ensure best values for money for Alaraby under the supervision of Operation Resources ManagerEnsure financial records for areas of responsibility are kept up to dateEnsure financial records for areas of responsibility are passed to Accounts department for payment in a timely mannerManage the work load and take responsibility for the Production AssistantResponsible to advise technical aspects of new studio programming, including viability, scheduling, budgetingResponsible to understand and communicate technical issues to other staff and departmentsResponsible to lead the team overseeing the maintenance of studio equipment Responsible to perform under pressure in a Live news environmentAny other relevant duties assigned by the line manager Key Skills/ Personal Attributes and Knowledge Required:Must have highly developed communication skills, and be able to work effectively with all members of the production team, other contributors, and members of the publicAbility to understand the technical processes involved in television production, including camera, lighting, sound and editingMust have good understanding of studio technical workflowsHave good understanding of and familiarity with studio cameras, lighting desk (Congo jnr), video playout, GFX, Sound Desk (Lawo) and similarHave in depth knowledge of Alaraby's studio and ENG equipment and inventoryMust know how to ensure that all the necessary licenses and clearances have been obtained, and how to comply with regulations relating to liability and indemnity when shooting at different locations.Must have up-to-date working knowledge of the relevant UK union and/or broadcaster regulations and agreements, and the legal requirements regarding working hours and the duty of care towards personnelMust know how to access information about, and comply with, corresponding regulations and agreements in other countriesInitiative and problem solving skillsResourcefulness and the ability to troubleshootPrecise attention to detail and methodical approach to workIT skills, and knowledge of the relevant computer packagesCurrent knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, and associated procedures, including Copyright, Data Protection, Public Liability, etc. and how to comply with regulatory requirementsAbility to perform under pressure in a Live news environmentKnowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and proceduresQualifications & Experience:More than 8 years' experience in relevant fieldBachelor's degree in in a media related or specialist subject may provide some useful background information.
