The Production Manager position will be responsible for managing and coordinating NBC Sports, NBC Sports Network & Golf Channel United Kingdom & European production projects in any of the three areas: On-site, home base and studio. The Production Manager will be the primary point of contact for all NBC Sports & Sky Sports production requests and collaborations and will be responsible for building & developing key relationships between NBC Sports & Sky Sports colleagues across all European productions. In addition, you will act as an effective communication conduit between Remote Operations Management and the Production teams in both the United States & U.K./Europe.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinate the management of production budgets and monitor all costs to ensure shows remain in line with budget expectations, including offering guidance on more efficient workflows, providing regular financial updates and alerting management to any concerns in a timely manner.* Manage all production staff and crew in line with NBCUniversal HR policy; coordinate all operations to ensure they follow all legislation, compliance, editorial policy and production guidelines.* Ensure all necessary legal paperwork such as filming permits, rights licenses, supplier contracts and risk assessments are in place for the production; overseeing the delivery of all post-production paperwork and ensuring it is satisfactorily completed before necessary deadlines.* Manage production and technical logistics for various productions including coordinating with on-site stadium personnel and vendors. * Logistics arrangements include mobile unit schedule, crewing, equipment, security, support personnel, catering, credentials, travel logistics, etc. Communicate all operations plans via "Call Sheets"* Source, negotiate and maintain relationships with international production companies and vendors* Work closely with Talent, Production and Technical Management to support production needs* Review and anticipate foreign travel procedures for international travel (rules/laws with regards to filming, permits, safety/security, visas, carnets, currency, power, local fixers, equipment rentals, etc).* Manage and reconcile administrative paperwork, correspondence, costs/receipts for each productionABOUT YOU * A strong academic and continuing professional development record, ideally including a relevant degree or qualification* Ideally 5 years of experience working on production or related projects* Previous experience managing large production teams at all levels, including understanding employment guidelines and health and safety at work, as well as having had previous experience of overseeing large multiple production budgets of over $1 million.* Proven understanding of the production process (start to finish) involved in sports television. Experience working in a sports production environment producing live and non-live studio and remote and having a current knowledge of production and technical workflows.* Experience negotiating terms and rates with crew and vendors, in line with corporate policies.* Proficient with Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat.* Willingness to travel as needed, work late and across weekends, at times with short notice* Based in United Kingdom. Ability to travel to remote production and for Olympic Games cities for extended length of time* Ability to handle multiple production projects at one time* Strong ability to assess priorities, multitask, adapt to fast-paced environments, take direction from multiple people, and work in a team environment* Must have a proven ability to work effectively with persons at all levels within the internal organization and with those outside of the organization.* Adaptable; a flexible approach to rapidly changing circumstances and demanding working patterns; embraces new workflows.* Ability to accept and handle last minute assignments as well as assignment changes* Able to effectively and quickly problem solve and handle stressful and time sensitive situations during the production process* Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships with third parties and within Comcast divisions to achieve commercial objectives.* Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills including accurately imparting and communicating information. Qualifications/Requirements* Must have unrestricted work authorisation to work in the United Kingdom
