Contract SummaryEvoke Films is looking for an experienced and well-established production manager who will be servicing a high profile client, to deliver a variety of branded content.Reporting into Head of ProductionKey Accountabilities Serving as a reliable point of contact with the client, clearly communicating with them on aspects of the production.Creating and managing production budgets and schedules, in collaboration with the Producers, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time and on budget. Managing multiple shoots and post production edits, bookings, dealing with clients' changing requirements and schedules.Managing and organizing shoots in the UK and internationally, including hiring of freelance staff and contractors, and negotiating deals.Assisting in overseeing the production strategy and team requirements for the productions, in collaboration with the HOP. Ensuring all short term contracts are in place between IMG and contractors including freelance directors and editorsCommercial management including negotiating deals with suppliers (personnel and resource) and cost tracking and reporting across the Productions.Work closely with the Evoke Films Research team (in collaboration with the Rights and Production Manager) to ensure film & audio archive material, is cleared for usage in the films and all costs/rights fees are accounted for, and that all media is managed appropriate as per contractual obligationsEnsuring all financial, contractual and production administration is accurate, on time, and completed according to IMG and client policy and procedures. This includes: invoicing, purchase ordering, risk assessments, insurance and post-production paperwork.Ensuring Productions adhere to IMG health and safety processes.Regularly updating the Head of Production and Production Finance Manager and clients with project status reports, schedules, current and projected spend and production cost reports Ensuring and organising a comprehensive failsafe backup of every aspect of the production (research, shoot, edit) so that any changes can be effected in a straightforward & cost effective mannerLine management and on-the-job training of junior production management/administration team Troubleshooting and resolving ad hoc production issues.Keep series/programme/project on budget and on scheduleEnsuring all the necessary production and post-production paperwork, contracts, in place for productionManage all risk management elements (insurance, health & safety etc.) within projectManage compliance issues as appropriateYou may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job?Follow all procedures as per IMG Productions GuideRequired Qualifications Knowledge and ExperiencePrevious production management experience of projects of different genres - at least two of the following; branded content, commercials, documentaries, magazine shows, factual entertainment.Demonstrable experience of liaising with clientsExperience of managing staff at Production Coordinator and Production Assistant level, including crew on locationAbility to create a detailed, line-by-line production budget and cost reportKnowledge of production and post-production technologies and workflows, including digital file deliveryKnowledge of archive and music clearanceKnowledge of production insurance, health & safetyExperience of location filming logisticsExperience of dealing with UK broadcasters, Advertising agencies and an understanding of the UK TV and Digital industry landscape and Advertising Standards and Compliance Proven knowledge and understanding of production workflowsPossess an established network of contacts within the broadcasting and or advertising industryExperience in more than two genres of production desirableExperience in sport production desirableExperience in digital production desirableExperience of dealing with UK broadcasters, Advertising agencies and an understanding of the UK TV and Digital industry landscape and Advertising Standards and Compliance desirableExperience of satellite bookings desirableSkills and AbilitiesWorking without direct supervision (working with freelance producers)Good Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to manage more than one project simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)Demonstrable organisational skillsUnderstanding of different formats of file delivery and storageComprehensive understanding of budget processes and implicationsAwareness and understanding of business affairs, including employment law, contract and copyright, union agreements, conditions of service, equal opportunities, corporate social responsibility, ethical position on doing business and health and safety at workKnowledge of SAP for purchase orders and expenses desirableUnderstanding of business affairs and employment law in Europe desirableQualifications and TrainingHealth & Safety TrainingFirst Aid qualificationDemonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OutlookFluency in a second language desirableFirst Aid qualification desirableThis is a fixed term contract position is based in Chiswick, LondonWeekend work and unsocial hours possibleAdapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriateTravel to shoot / outside broadcast location, including internationally, as may be necessary
