Contract Summary

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised Production Manager to add to our production team based in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

Reporting into Head of Production, the Production Manager will assist the department Head of Production across multiple projects in production across the department. To work alongside the editorial team.

Key Accountabilities

Managing ad hoc production budgets and schedules in conjunction with Production Executive/HOP
Managing production show/s alongside the producer
Line management & on-the-job training of Production Admin staff
Organising shoots including hiring of freelance staff and contractors, negotiating deals
Managing and coordinating post production edits and bookings
Preparing budgets for programmes in development (live, studio, factual)
Cost tracking and reporting, purchase ordering, post-production paperwork.
Clearing archive footage
You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.

Required Qualifications

Previous production management of number of different shows of different genres, at least two of magazine shows, studio, OB, live.
Experience of managing a junior member of admin team
Strong ability to produce a production budget and cost reporting, cost tracking and forecasting
Knowledge of post production, archive and music clearance, insurance, health & safety
Experience in sport production
Previous experience of live programming
Experience of dealing UK broadcasters, understanding of UK TV industry
Satellite bookings experience desirable
OB experience desirable
Production technical knowledge desirable
Excellent communication skills
Skilled team player and ability to work well and remain calm under pressure
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively without close supervision
Experience of working across multiple productions, effectively managing and prioritizing workload
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including: PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
Dealing with client relationships preferrable
Production Risk Assessments.
Health & Safety Training
Working knowledge of SAP
Team management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e. when to employ tact, diplomacy and discretion)
Professional and keen approach to your work

Working Conditions

This is a fixed term contract role, based at Stockley Park - Uxbridge
Travel to shoot / outside broadcast location, incl internationally, may be necessary
Weekend work and unsocial hours possible
