Production Manager

London

We are looking for a Production Manager for 10-weeks from 17th May - 23rd July.
We are a new sport entertainment property targeted at a young digital native audience. This audience defines sport entertainment differently and demands a different kind of content, primarily on social channels.

JOB OVERVIEW
• Report to the Head of Content and the CFO.
• The successful candidate will lead the content production management team and integrate and coordinate with our events production management team and our talent management team.
• This is not a logistics role. The events team will lead on all logistics in terms of cast and crew travel, food and accommodation.
• The production manager will run a section of the overall budget, frequently reporting to and updating the CFO, the Project Manager and the Head of Content.
Your production team will include a coordinator.
• You will need to familiarise yourself with Xero.
• You will lead on negotiations around camera, lighting and post-production kit hire.
• You will be responsible for developing and overseeing carnet paperwork if necessary.
• You will input across insurance, freelancer contracting, health and safety and any other areas of production as considered necessary by the Head of Content.
• You will establish a tracking and monitoring system to ensure that the flow of equipment in pre-production, on location and in its return to hire facilities is achieved
smoothly and without delay or extra expense.
• The PM could be called on to source and manage applications from freelancers when needed.

CHARACTER, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience and success working on large productions and gallery workflows, ideally in the sport and entertainment arena or PM'ing on large fixed-rig or reality show programming.
• Experience working in digital-first content across multiple platforms an advantage.
• Strong contacts across freelancers, production houses and suppliers.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to fast-evolving digital platforms and their content types.
• An excellent negotiator with meticulous oversight of your budgets and proven experience of coming on budget.
• Excellent communicator and relationship manager with a passion for collaboration. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with all the people you work with because you are clear, transparent, honest, straight-talking and open-minded.
• Experienced in branded content for a range of international brands.
• Experienced with any carnet paperwork and applications if necessary.
• Ability to adapt and work in a non-traditional crew with a multi-departmental structure.
• Experienced with data protection for cast and crew.
• Happy to leave your ego at the door and be willing to learn from everyone including the most junior members of the staff / crew.

• You are flexible and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
• Organised, thorough and disciplined. You've got everything under control, and nothing slips through the cracks.
