Production Manager
Minimum 2-year contract based in Doha, Qatar

An experienced Production Manager is required to join a high-end, content production team embedded within a major international sporting organisation. This role is based in Doha, Qatar and is offered via a minimum 2-year contract. Pay is internationally competitive and is commensurate with experience.

Much of the sporting organisation's content already reaches a global audience. That audience will only grow in the coming years. We are looking for a production manager with the vision and technical skill that can raise production values and expand the audience even further across the world.

The Production Manager is responsible for planning and organising production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements, and estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.

The role requires management of both an internal film production unit and external agencies, which are brought on for CGI work, high profile television commercials, etc. The ideal applicant will demonstrate first-hand experience of maintaining brand standards and managing specific organisational protocols.

Applicants must have at least 6+ years production manager broadcast credits and have a proven track record of managing professional video, film and photographic teams across a wide range of subjects in varied environments. An in-depth knowledge of video production and post production workflows is essential.

Specific experience of production managing vibrant and engaging content within the contemporary world of elite sports will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
• Ensure that the production is cost effective.
• Decide what resources are required for every project.
• Draft a timescale for the job with an estimated cost.
• Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
• Liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers.
• Source and procure third-party suppliers as needed to fulfill requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors for all aspects of content production, editorial and music production.
• Ensure proper permitting and clearances as well as brand and copyright compliance throughout all productions.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• 6+ years' experience with at least 3 years in a Production Manager role.
• Extensive knowledge of pre, post, and production timelines and workflows.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task on simultaneous projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, preferably Arabic as well as English.
• Outstanding project management skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows, OSX, and all MS Office Applications.

Contract Description
• as per Qatari law; a Qatar Labour Contract will be issued to the successful applicant (no other employment contract is legally recognized within Qatar).
• according to Qatar Labour laws the contract features a mandatory probation period for the first 6-months.
• working hours follow Qatar's labour law and 5 day working week: that is Sunday to Thursday
• the successful applicant will be provided with a Qatar business visa and will be assisted through all required government processes.
• as per Qatari law; the successful applicant will be required to obtain a government issued Qatari ID and to open a Qatar based bank account.
• payment will be forwarded monthly in Qatar currency directly into the applicants personal Qatar bank account.
• insurance during working hours is provided for accident, sickness, death as required by Qatar labour law.
• 1 x annual international economy class return flight to Qatar will be provided each year of employment to successful applicants based outside of Qatar prior to employment
• annual holiday provision and holiday payment is provided as according to Qatar labour law
• accommodation / living costs are not provided (assistance will be provided as required in sourcing suitable accommodation)

Please note: the successful candidate will be expected to cover their own accommodation and living expenses from the monthly salary provided. The salary is designed to cover these living costs. The company will provide assistance in finding accommodation and will provide ground level support as required by the candidate.
