We're a boutique film agency looking for a collaborative and experienced Production Manager to be the glue that holds us together, helping everything running smoothly as we grow at a fantastic rate!
About Mediorite: We deliver films and photo shoots for marketing leading corporates and charities and need a focused and dedicated Production Manager to help us grow. Mediorite is also a social enterprise offering free film training for young Londoners.
Every job we do creates some paid work for a young creative who's risen through our
programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION - Production Manager
We're looking for someone to head up our Production department who has a passion for working in the creative industries and a head for Production.
This role will support Mediorite's busy Director and free up extra time in order to help her focus on business development at a time of growth. We have worked hard to create a lovely work
environment in our Dalston office which is located near the overground and East London line.
We have a mindfulness room, an office dog and a fair and flexible approach to working.
You:
* A highly organised individual with real workplace experience (3-5 years) who can bring knowledge and
expertise to help us run our productions smoothly. You'll get excited about improving systems and processes to drive efficiency and supporting our small team to offer excellent service to our clients.
* You'll be interested in other areas of Production too and might have ambitions to Produce on set or shape scripts.
* Things are moving so quickly we want someone who wants to come with us so you'll be looking to settle in for a couple of years. Being part of meeting our social mission to tackle youth unemployment will interest you.
Responsibilities
Report to and work with the Director on day-to-day operations of the video department
* Manage and oversee video pre-production planning and off-site production activities for video clients
* Deliver high quality product on time and within budget
* Anticipate and respond to needs and requests from clients
* Ensure all projects are on schedule
* Identify best practices for video and evolve daily operations as necessary
* Oversee video collection to ensure all media is archived appropriately and can be readily obtained
* Co-manage a Junior Content Producer
Depending on your skill set there will also be the following opportunities:
* On set Producing; ask probing or challenging questions to contributors as well as vox pops, plan and guide master interview. Direct camera crew to make set up decisions.
* Helping writing pitches and contribute creative ideas
Requirements Skills:
* Confident using software packages like Word, Excel,PowerPoint and ideally Google Docs
* Supremely organised and happy to use GDrive to manage your work. You probably love a to-do list in
general
* A very welcoming person, who has great communication skills to deal with a range of visitors from young people and freelance film-makers to board members
* Able to manage junior members of staff setting clear goals and measurable outcomes
