Crimewatch Live, part of the Documentary Unit in Cardiff, takes to the streets of Britain to appeal directly to the public for help with unsolved cases. The series returns to BBC One this September, live from our studio at Central Square, Cardiff. The daily shows feature interviews, reconstructions and insights into the work of the police and other emergency services. We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team.

Main Responsibilities
In partnership with the Unit Manager and Editorial team, the Production Manager is responsible for managing on a day to day basis this live studio series, ensuring delivery of accurate budgets and production planning in a demanding and fast changing environment. You'll also manage a team of production management staff.

Are you the right candidate?
You will have a strong track record in working within factual TV, with a quick turnaround schedule.

You will have a positive attitude and be able to build successful relationships, your team, presenters, crews and contributors.

You will have exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and be able to manage tight budgets and big teams.

Ideally, you will have experience of working on live output

You will have experience of working with a range of contributors as well as an understanding of working with confidential data.

It is essential that you are experienced in working with the Ecat on a day to day basis.

You will be a confident line manager of PCs, PMAs and Runners

You will be very familiar with the WTD and regulations surrounding working practice in a live studio environment.
