THE ROLE:
Managing the logistical and operational relationship with Ascot's global and UK broadcaster partners to ensure smooth delivery of output
Ensuring Ascot's data and licensing requirements are fully optimised and managing the relevant third-party relationships
Be the strong technical lead for all broadcast, data and production issues
Manage a robust archive system which allows us to capitalise on its full commercial potential and allow our own teams to access content quickly and efficiently
The operational point of contact for international, free-to-air and Pay TV broadcast partners across all technical, delivery and production areas
Building strong relationships with all our broadcast partners to optimise the potential content opportunities these relationships bring
Working with the Ops and IT teams to ensure the organisation and mapping of the broadcast compound, Outside Broadcast management and connectivity on and off-site
Management of all Ascot Raceday and Royal Ascot picture and data contracts
Overseeing a robust technical set-up which is nimble enough to cope with changing broadcast delivery
Supporting the Head of Broadcast with adherence by media and broadcast to broadcast protocols during Royal Ascot and other Ascot Racedays
Working with the Head of Broadcast and OPs to develop and refine Parade Ring protocols and general management of broadcast crews while on site
Work closely with our digital team, ensuring maximum use of resource
Support with Broadcast accreditation process for major race meetings
Support Racedays as applicable
Such other duties as the Company may, at times, reasonably require
IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:
Track record of delivering high-quality live broadcast content, in terms of both technical delivery and high production standards
Experience of dealing with or working for major global broadcasters, OB Facilities and connectivity providers in a live sport context
Strong knowledge or understanding of broadcast technical systems and practices along with their operating requirements
Excellent knowledge of data delivery mechanisms
Experience of dealing with external services providers across broadcast, connectivity data
An eye for detail and a rack record in dealing with complex contract renewals
