We are now seeking a Production Executive to join our Sport Senior Production Management team.

Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will strategically manage a TV Sport slate from preparation for slate sign off through to delivery using specialist production management skills, knowledge and experience. They will also be responsible, reporting into the Controller of Production, for a small portfolio of additional programming.

Reporting to the Heads of Production you'll work in partnership with editorial colleagues to deliver the outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform content that BBC Sport is renowned for, by providing the ways to realise editorial ambitions within operational and financial constraints.

The role will bring effective leadership to a team of production management staff across the TV Sport output and play a key role in maintaining a professional pan-BBC production management community.

Are you the right candidate?
We're looking for a talented, dynamic individual with considerable experience at senior Production Manager or Unit Manager level and you must have worked within a continuous news area and/or across a slate of programmes. You will have extensive knowledge of end-to-end production and be able to work at a strategic level with editorial colleagues for a variety of aspects including compliance with BBC policies and managing the operational performance of the production(s).

The ideal candidate will lead the production management team in order to manage and deliver output across the continuous output slate. You will also be able to advise and influence senior colleagues in order to deliver the most cost effective way to produce content across your slate.

You will also drive collaboration across BBC Sport to achieve departmental and divisional strategic objectives.

You will be an experienced Manager and enjoy developing the skills of your team. You will be a confident communicator and able to liaise with a variety of colleagues within Sport and across BBC North.

The role is offered as continuing contract.
