BBC Children's are currently seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join our Newsround team based in MediaCityUK, Salford for a 12 week contract starting around Monday 22nd April 2019.

Main Responsibilities:

- Scheduling and coordinating of the 365 day news production team
- Coordinate and Deliver UK and Foreign travel shoots
- Plan and forecast production finances
- Manage media assets of a digtal and linear broadcast team
- Coordinate the workload and performance of the junior team members
- Find efficiencies and continuous improvement within the Discovery team

Ideal Candidate:

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both creative and business teams in complex issues. Able to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others. Can draw from a range of strategies to persuade people in a way that results in agreement or behaviour change.
- Able to manage a varied and demanding workload with strong planning and organisation skills in order to ensure deadlines are achieved and issues identified and resolved.
- Can maintain personal effectiveness by remaining calm in the face of pressure, setbacks, or when dealing with provocative situations or opposition.
- Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people. Has an ability to establish rapport quickly and effectively with new clients / people. Proactively offers constructive feedback to others.
- Knowledge of digital production workflows
