In an effort to push the boundaries and transform perceptions of spoken-word entertainment, Audible is now developing, commissioning and producing a wide range of high-quality, original, audio programme.
From award-winning multicast dramas starring some of the world's best actors and live stand-up comedy to landmark documentary series and branded partnerships with leading cultural institutions, Audible's original content commissions inspire, challenge, delight, surprise and redefine the public's perception of audio.
The Audible Originals team are responsible for the creation of a large portfolio of groundbreaking new content. We create exclusive, high quality and exceptional listening experiences for a global audience. Founded just three years ago, the UK office, studios and team also provide a production hub and centre of editorial excellence for the wider business on all scripted development and production.
To support a major expansion of our output - and an increasingly international outlook on the development, commissioning and production of audio drama and comedy - we are looking for an experienced, logistically proven and detail orientated production co-coordinator or manager to join the team on a six month fixed term contract.
The ideal candidate is likely to have extensive experience as a Production Coordinator or Production Manager. While some experience in audio would be preferred, the ideal candidate could equally come from a background in theatre, film or television.
We're looking for someone with extensive administrative experience, production knowledge and who thrives on detail, workflows and processes. They will also have experience of managing multiple projects in terms of logistics, legal, budgeting, studio and location recordings, post-production and processing.
You will have a track record of success and a desire to raise standards at all times. With a substantial pipeline of productions to co-ordinate - from both our in-house teams and working collaboratively with third party producers - an obsession over detail, an ability to influence other stake holders and meet deadlines within budget is essential. They will help to shape production standards and best practices for those projects that are greenlit and commissioned. They will be "hands-on" in terms of production co-ordination, guiding our internal and external partners through the life cycle of the production, from green-light to delivery.
The remit of this role is broad, exciting and challenging - and the job will be based out of Audible's London offices.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for the right combination of experience in terms of production co-ordination and management, high emotional intelligence, and understanding of scripted and unscripted content and above all, excellent logistical and organisational skills.
You will have a love for great audio and storytelling. You are likely to have existing relationships with production companies, directors, producers and agents in the audio space (radio, podcasts etc). You will want to push boundaries. You will also possess a deep understanding of why great audio programmes work - and how to encourage and foster greatness in your own areas of ownership.
Most of all you will be organised, passionate, innovative and a multi-skilled team player.
