Production Coordinator

London

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our original global programming team for Disney+ streaming service. This role is responsible for supporting & coordinating the production management aspect of projects, working with Director of Production Management, Line Producer and the wider team.

The role will provide internal production co-ordination support for projects both in development or those that are commissioned. The post will need to carry out research work as requested related to R&D of potential projects, as well as mentor and train up Production Intern/s as assigned.

The wider team is responsible for production management of the portfolio of original production series, throughout all key stages of development / greenlight / pre-production / filming / delivery / wrap & overseeing contractual budget, timeline & technical quality of all series.

Responsibilities:
To assist in the smooth office operation within the production unit, which involves liaising with the Finance and Legal teams, as well as the IT and Facilities departments within the company, especially during staffing onboarding
Be the central point of contact across all reporting and systems within the Disney + Production Process from Production to Post Production, including being gate holder for key technical software such as PIX, Aspera and others
Manage production systems from budgeting, schedules, creative treatments/scripts, background checks, programme delivery, production wrap materials, insurance, health and safety and security. Ensuring that materials are reviewed by the team and all documentation is tracked/saved
To collect and collate suitable reference materials for rest of Disney when production is in progress
Create presentations as requested
To manage the daily traffic of review production information & materials, and manage the sharing and archive process. Ensure all materials are available in good time
Diary management, creating call sheets and movement orders as required
Liaise with safety and security stakeholders
Translate documents as requested and or liaise with external translators to achieve timely outcomes
Manage and process expenses & keeping accurate records
Booking travel requirements as assigned (taxis / bikes / flights / accommodation / hire cars)

Skills & Experience
A good understanding of Production Management and production processes
Hands-on Production experience within the broadcast industry, both across scripted and non-scripted series having had input from prep, shoot, post and delivery stages
Ability to manage and administer Disney systems, such as PIX's and Aspera
Experience work with minors in production and the licensing process for UK and overseas
Experienced in role for filming on location and stages (overseas ops preferable)
Proficient in Keynote (for Mac) and Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Good understanding of health & safety in production and the risk assessment process
Good understanding of production insurance requirements
Great understanding of music reporting and rights clearance
Being savvy with custom and practice from prep/ shoot / post / delivery stage- in order to review and understand production paperwork
Comprehending the significance of reading schedules, daily production reports, call sheets, post schedules
Arranging location travel requirements for PM and executive leads
Excellent IT skills and knowledge within the process of onboarding new staff
A thorough understanding of the production process, including post production workflow
Excellent communication skills and production experience being savvy with the industry terminology. Possess good interpersonal skills to share information with heads of departments
Strong ability to report precisely and succinctly, both internally with fellow colleagues and externally with production partners (often from different countries for whom English might not be their first language).
