PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:The Channel 5 Creative is an in-house creative agency responsible for creating marketing campaigns for Channel 5, 5 Star, 5 USA, Spike and My5. In addition we work for a range of external clients creating and producing sponsorship, content and commercials.The Production Coordinator will have an understanding of video, print, digital and design production. Additionally, the successful candidate will have an understanding of On Air promotions and help coordinate and support production teams in creating and executing innovative campaigns to promote Channel 5 programmes and services. As a Coordinator, you will aslo be required to work into larger film production teams for commercials and shoots that are produced in our in-house Department.Helping drive processes, you'll be confident, decisive and always ready to face new challenges while striving for perfection.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Act as central point of contact for the Promo teamWork closely with Media Planning and Lead Creative to schedule promos within the teamKeep up regular communication with Creative/Lead Creative and Media Planning re: any timing/delivery issuesCoordinate audio, edit and finishing resourcesCoordinate crews, callsheets and general film shoot administrationGather source material in good time for edits, flagging any delays and amending the schedule where necessaryDevelop and maintain good relations with internal and external contactsHandle requests from other areas of the company and work with Creative Assistant to deliver on time and to correct specificationsRaise departmental purchase orders and record expenditureSupport in the setting up of film, radio, print and DOOH campaignsDevelop a good understanding of usage rights for footageEXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:Experience of either an on-air department (short-form/promos) or post production environment would be an advantageExperience of handling budgets ideal (or good Excel knowledge) & regularly reporting back to Head of ProductionBroad knowledge and appreciation of the creative, production and post-production processesA good understanding of design, technical specifications and delivery will be a key advantage.Experience of working with creatives in all disciplines and desire to expand knowledgeThe position is office-based but pre-production and shoot experience is an advantage for any applicantTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:Have strong communication skills and an enthusiastic approachBe a calm, reliable and confident team playerHave excellent organisational skillsHave the ability to stay calm under pressure and meet multiple deadlinesBe a great team player, with a can do attitudeHave strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, with good humourBe a confident negotiatorStrive for the highest standards across the production of all creative workHave the ability to economise and be efficient with a solution focused attitude
