BT SPORT is looking for a number of highly organised and motivated freelance Production Co-ordinators to join the production management team, working across our international and domestic football properties, which could include UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, National League, FA Women's Super League and more. You may also be required to work across other sports such as Boxing, Hockey and Speedway.This critical role will involve working across all aspects of production management and represents a great opportunity for an experienced Production Co-ordinator to work in sports television. The role will involve travel, weekend work and some unsociable hours in the office and onsite.The successful candidates will start on Monday 1 July 2019, with the end date being approx. END DATE FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: FRIDAY 31 MAY.ROLE:• Contribute to all aspects of production management for live outside broadcasts, studios, galleries and shoots, including planning, technical requirements, schedules, freelancer, supplier and contributor bookings and management, logistics (including travel and accommodation bookings, transportation), call sheet preparation and distribution, venue liaison and location management.• Book, update and review technical facilities required for programming, including communications with internal and external partners, internet and fibre connections, uplink/downlink and playout.• Ensure risk assessments, health and safety checks, release forms and relevant insurance paperwork is completed and distributed for all programming.• Complete all necessary production paperwork, including Soundmouse, as well as ensuring all data entered into the bookings and financial system (Provys).• Contribute to the budgeting process to ensure budgets are adhered to, including cost reporting to Production Manager and entering data into the financial system (Provys).• Ensure purchase orders raised and invoices processed in a timely manner.• Work closely with production team to ensure delivery of programming as advised by editorial team.• Work closely with internal departments to ensure all scheduled programming is available for transmission/delivery.• Book non-technical programming requirements, including green rooms and catering.• Co-ordinate, attend and contribute to team meetings as advised by Production Manager.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED:• Experience of working as a Production Co-ordinator for live OB, studio and gallery television production environments (ideally within a live sport environment).• Experience of budgets and financial reporting, including cost tracking.• An understanding and experience of the technical and creative processes of production (from beginning to end), post production and playout.• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.• Strong organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail.• Ability to work unsupervised, resolving problems, making sound decisions and knowing when to refer upwards when necessary.• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.• Ability to work unsociable hours in the office and on site.• Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.• Experience of reacting to constant changes in priorities and reorganising workload to meet changing deadlines.• A knowledge and understanding of health and safety guidelines/regulations.• A good knowledge of sport.• Experience of working with high profile talent and contributors.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE - PREFERRED:• Experience of working in a broadcasting environment.• Experience of using a bookings and / or financial reporting system.• A knowledge and understand of editorial compliance.
