Production Co-ordinator

Cardiff

Crimewatch Live, part of the Documentary Unit in Cardiff, takes to the streets of Britain to appeal directly to the public for help with unsolved cases. The series returns to BBC One this September, live from our studio at Central Square, Cardiff. The daily shows feature interviews, reconstructions and insights into the work of the police and other emergency services. We are looking for a Production Co-ordinator to join our team.

Main Responsibilities
You will have excellent communication skills for dealing with both internal and external contacts. You'll have drive, energy, and a proven ability to work calmly with conflicting priorities and deadlines. You will work within the Production Management team on Crimewatch, supporting the researchers and directors in preparing for the location reconstructions - setting up complex shoots, arranging casting sessions, booking artists, crews, logging and managing the media.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, willing to go the extra mile to support a small team, but also have the ability to work independently. You'll need to be flexible, resourceful, a good negotiator, and have exceptional organisational skills.

Mix of remote and office once in full production, you may be required to go on location, which will be dependent on Covid regulations.

Must be South West based as you will be required to attend the live Studio.

Are you the right candidate?
Must have at least two credits as a Production Co-ordinator within TV broadcast or SVOD

Must have prior experience organising location shoots, we would be interested to hear from anyone with Factual drama reconstruction experience.

Experienced in copyright clearances and contracting.

Experience in budgeting/planning and monitoring filming costs

Knowledge of Avid post production workflows,

Experience of working with confidential material would be an advantage.
