Production Assistant / Coordinator

Building on our existing success in 2018, Flux Broadcast are now looking to grow and expand our team Production / Project Managers. Focusing on the production and projects side of the business.

With regular work with brands such as Topshop, Xbox, The BBC, Universal Music and Warner, we've also won awards for our work such as the Shorty Awards for Social Good and Cannes Lions with McCann. We are looking to take 2019 to a new level.

The Role

Responsibilities

- To assist our team of Production / Project Managers in their day to day tasks
- Working within our Production team to service high profile clients briefs
- Aiding the team to plan for the successful execution of both live and on-demand projects from start to finish
- Ensure all tasks undertaken are met to Flux's high standards
- Attend production meetings
- Organise travel arrangements for crew and production executives
- Organise accommodation for crew
- Type and distribute schedules or call sheets
- Assist crew members, sometimes running errands for them
- Run errands between the production office and other departments
- Deal with accounts and expenses
- Sort out enquiries and other paperwork
- Set up relevant insurance cover and help with visas for cast and crew
- Build good relationships with clients, suppliers, freelancers and hire houses
- Book suppliers, freelance crew and kit for jobs
- Liaise with freelancers, hire houses and suppliers
- Use Flux's project process and management tools to ensure successful planning of tasks
- Supporting the technical team and crew onsite
- Overseeing cues, timings and continuity during recording

Required skills and experience

Experience with video production
Good technical knowledge
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
Excellent ability to manage people
Able to manage multiple task simultaneously
Resilient under pressure and ability to think on your feet
Ability to learn quickly
Professional manner and proud of their work

Desirable skills and experience

Previous experience working within a production environment
Experience in production coordinating, assisting or similar role
Experience working in a live production / high pressure environment
Good computer skills
Understanding of live and on demand video production equipment and process
Experience with live video platforms Facebook / YouTube / Periscope / Twitch
Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite experience

Other requirements:

Passport to allow international travel for work
Full UK driving license

Training provided:

Production Management Training:
Flux Broadcast project process and management training

Equipment Training:
Production gallery set up including: vision mixers, format convertors, comms, external recorders, scopes and monitoring, camera set up, live streaming, encoders / video compression, server architecture

Office Hours: 10am-6pm Monday - Friday, work outside of these hours will be required on events. Time in lieu for weekend work and flexible hours for late night/evening work.

Holiday: 28 working days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays.
