Production and Distribution Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Production & Distribution Budget
• Together with the General Manager and the Video Content Manager set the annual operating Production & Distribution budget
• Have the day-to-day overview of budget and manage the costs for the editorial and production team
• Liaise with the accounts team on invoicing and reporting
• Liaise with the editorial and production team on any potential costs and organize any cross charges for other departments for costs relating to their work
• Be responsible for approving all invoices for the editorial and production budget within the invoice approval system
• Work with the admin team of AMG to ensure the PO process for production costs is working

Manage shoots and live productions
• Organise match access and accreditation for AMG team, freelancers and talent
• Manage planning, bookings and logistics for live match coverage of academy and pre-season friendly matches
• Manage Club Day registration and access for AMG team members, freelancers and external production companies
• Support the Video Content Manager in club day shoot planning and logistics including sourcing props and booking freelance resource
• Manage and develop a stable of freelance production staff, talent and guests to support AMG productions
• Organise match access and accreditation for AMG team, freelancers and talent

Other responsibilities:
• Be aware of what content is being created across the team and ensure it is being used to maximum effect i.e. given to broadcast partners if relevant
• Work with the team on Club Day to ensure AMG utilizes it's access to the players as best as possible
• Work with senior members of the content team to assist with any management or administrative tasks such as logging player access for the partnership team
• Work with selected agency to coordinate the international distribution for any tour coverage or footage

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education/Qualifications/Training:
• Education to degree level or relevant vocational equivalent

Proven experience of:
• Working as a production manager or similar role for a small to medium sized production company
• Managing production budgets
• Account management with rights holder or broadcasters

Knowledge of:
• Current media trends
• Understanding of the content landscape with regards to football content

Beneficial experience:
• Working in a content team distributing content across multiple platforms including social channels
• Managing the delivery of live coverage and footage to broadcasters

Attitude and personal qualities:
• Having a passion for content and in particular digital content, how it is consumed and how that behavior is changing
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Communicating effectively to team members, other departments and to senior management
• A well-organised, self-motivated, team player, who is results oriented
• Ability to prioritise workload and time manage to multiple deadlines
• Ability to remain calm in periods of hectic activity
• A personable and confident communicator
• A lateral thinker who is able to offer innovative, yet pragmatic, solutions to problems

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Arsenal Media Group (AMG) is responsible for the all of the club's media including the club website and video player, all social media channels, an international TV programme block, mobile applications and the match day programme.

The website receives millions of page impressions per month and the Arsenal social media channels channels are some of the most followed in world football. The group produces several hours of broadcast video each week to more than 20 broadcast partners around the world and an award winning matchday programme.

AMG content and its digital channels are vital for supporting partnership, online retail, club membership and ticketing. Its content is responsible for reaching and engaging millions of fans around the globe and building their connection with Arsenal Football Club.
