Based in the beautiful Chiswick Park in West London, Discovery is looking for the best and brightest Freelancers in the business. We are passionate about recruiting the very finest talent on the planet to join our talented team to make amazing and inspiring television programming. At the moment, we are looking for Freelance Producers and Edit Producers for some brand new Paranormal Factual shows. These will be 'special' feature programmes re-worked from our existing series footage.

You will be responsible for reviewing approx. 50 hours of content and selecting the most interesting stories along with relevant content, dialogue and anecdotes. You will capture 'behind the scenes' anecdotes with the talent and film additional footage with them to supplement your stories. You will also be responsible for scriptwriting and editing, recording voice overs and managing the final post.

We are looking for the following:

Producer/Director: To lead on the initial prep work, first edit, filming and scripting

Edit Producer: To work under the guidance of the Producer/Director to fine cut the feature


Ideally, you will have:

- A background in entertainment/reality TV with proven experience working on factual Paranormal productions (this is essential)
- An interest in the Paranormal genre
- Experience of producing content for a major broadcaster
- Strong editorial skills, the ability to structure a story well and solid scriptwriting skills
- An interest in our brand and content is important so you will have knowledge of Discovery and its various channels and productions - particularly Discovery ID
