CLP Productions is a small passionate group of people who are producing a film based on a true story set in Birkenhead in the 80s, a powerfully poignant tale of a young boy heading towards oblivion through all the horror he encounters in his early life, overcoming them through the words of William Shakespeare and the draw of the stage. It follows his metamorphosis from a child affected by murder, struggling with learning difficulties, social uprising, and the inevitable slide into crime and drugs. Jamie is seeking meaning, belonging, and freedom. Belonging seems to be in the Priestz gang. But there is also a siren call in his life, a need to play the prince and not the slave. Acting shows Jamie that there is more to life than cruel streets. When he sees a way to escape, other hands begin to help, including Shakespeare's invisible hands.
