Job Title: Producer (Ideal World) - Fixed Term Contract 8 months initially

An opportunity has arisen for a Live Gallery Producer (Maternity Cover) in the Ideal World Production Team.

Your primary responsibilities are the forward planning and execution of live hourly television shows selling a wide variety of products.

Your focus will be to work closely with your Assistant Producer, Director, Presenter and Guest Expert to create an exciting and informative TV show that demonstrates the products to sell them to the viewer.

You will be using editorial and sales techniques along with VT and graphics to aid the sell, and making sure you maximise sales by upselling additional linked items.

You will be reviewing previous shows, looking at formats and how we can improve.

You will be accountable for ensuring the editorial output of the shows complies with ASA and Ofcom guidelines.

Person Specification:
* The successful candidate must have some understanding of the nature of shopping television and how to sell a range of products effectively, especially in a visual medium.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary.
* Shopping television experience or 'hands on' sales experience is also required.
* We would like a confident team leader who can work with others to solve problems, but also work with merchandising, buying and technical teams to satisfy wider business needs.
