BBC Asian Network seeks a highly musically motivated producer to join music team, helping devise and implement the stations' music strategies.

A producer develops and makes creative content. They are responsible editorially for the planning, compliance and production of creative content, upholding the key values of fair dealing, accuracy, impartiality, trust and integrity. This content may be for a radio programme, or for mobile, websites, the iPlayer, EPGs and other multiple platforms. This involves finding new ways to connect with audiences and identifying interesting content and formats.

Are you the right candidate?
The successful candidate will have a passion for and in-depth knowledge of contemporary music, a detailed appreciation of music radio programming, as well as substantial experience of radio production or within the music industry. In particular, you must understand the musical taste and lifestyle of the 18 to 34 year-old target audience and an instinctive understanding and appreciation of modern youth culture and cultural trends. You will also possess the ability to think strategically, have fantastic organisational and administrative skills, great communicative powers and be completely at ease with technology.
