Producer

London

Farpoint Production is looking for a Producer for the documentary feature film production of MASTERS OF MAHJONG (www.mahjongmovie.com), a film about a group of amateur mahjong players facing off against the world's best pros at the world's biggest competitive tournament in Vegas.

You're probably thinking, "What's mahjong?!" No worries, it's not important. Well... maybe a little, but we'll get you caught up on the game in good time. What we're looking for is someone who's interested in working for a light-hearted and entertaining subject matter that follows in the footsteps of niche competitive event films like Wordplay, King of Kong and Spellbound. We need someone savvy with production, able to manage post-production, but most importantly bring a feature length doc to market, i.e. comfortable with selling our film. The film is part-funded, and working to secure finishing funds is an essential requirement of you coming on board. A major focus of the film was a special tournament held in Las Vegas of October 2017, and filming of that is complete. We have yet to release any footage of the event for promotional purposes.

The status of the film is production is 70%+ complete, with scheduled shoots in LA, SF and Tokyo still to come in the new year. We will begin post-production on footage already shot by January 2018, so coming on board now is key.

Please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
